CubanWaterLab's social-science component works alongside the Casablanca community — fishers, students, local authorities — so that the technology answers real needs, not just laboratory questions.

Views gathered at the first meeting with fishers
Building on Casablanca's environmental and cultural diagnosis (2024) and on 87 of its own surveys, the social-science team works with two focus groups — accredited fishers and secondary-school students — and collaborates with the community's Popular Council to design Green Map workshops and citizen-science actions.
